This captivating digital build draws inspiration from 1980s endurance race cars—machines known for their purposeful minimalism and clean lines. Khondoker skilfully reimagines these traits through a modern lens, creating a vehicle that feels both retro and futuristic.
The majority of the modelling process was carried out in Fusion 360, showcasing Khondoker’s command of hard-surface techniques. One exception: the seat belts, which were modelled separately. The UV mapping stage was handled in RizomUV, followed by detailed, manual texturing in Substance 3D Painter to bring surface realism to the next level.

Rendering was completed using Corona Renderer, helping bring out the polished materials and soft lighting in all their glory. Additional tools that played a role in the production pipeline included 3ds Max, Marmoset Toolbag, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve—each used for refinement, presentation, and post-production.
Anton Khondoker’s piece is not just a technical showcase but a thoughtful fusion of eras—where design heritage meets cutting-edge tools.

Quotes directly from the Artist -
"MEREHT is a track-day weapon built for affluent enthusiasts chasing the raw, unfiltered thrill of vintage Le Mans prototypes. No assists, no electronic nannies — just a screaming engine, wheels, tarmac and pure feedback. It's brutal, loud, and alive — with room for a passenger to share the ride."
"The goal was to blend the bold simplicity of ‘80s endurance racers with modern aerodynamic thinking. Big, clean, flat surfaces. Powerful, minimalist forms. Modern aero tech. No overdetailing — just what’s necessary to suggest function. It had to feel aggressive, raw, dynamic, and believable."
"This project is my personal ode to the golden age of prototypes — and to the journey from childhood obsession to finally trying me on it. Growing up, I was fascinated by cars, motorsport and car design, but always felt the subject was too deep to approach. Then came the work of Ash Thorp and Colorsponge — and I couldn’t ignore the urge anymore.
Everything was modeled in Fusion 360, except the seat belts. UVs were done in RizomUV, then manually textured in Substance Painter. Rendered with Corona Renderer."
